Welcome Horses Volunteer Day!

  • Hoku Lio Farms P.O. box 671 Waimanalo, HI, 96795 USA (map)

The horses have arrived and they love their new horseland. We had a peaceful July 4th evening - yippee! And there is still work to do. Please join us for corral prepping, water pipe installing, cleaning up, spreading mulch, moving rocks, installing tposts and electric wire, excavating guinea/california/elephant grass, and more! Let’s work together to create a beautiful space for the horses and community to enjoy.

Wear closed toed shoes, and long pants (that invasive grass has sharp edges), bring long sleeves if you like. Wear sunscreen and bring gloves and a water bottle. We’ll have ice water to refill and some tasty snack for after. There’s a picnic table under a lovely banyan tree for rest breaks and we have chairs too.

If you have tools - rakes, basket sifters, wheelbarrow, rolling magnets, trash bags, etc - please bring those along too. (marked with your name)

Please rsvp if possible, but showing up is fine too!
